Austin’s Homemade Ice Cream originated in 1947 and passed through several owners before our family purchased the business in 1983. We started with only 13 recipes but throughout 35 successful years of making ice cream we developed an iconic business in the tri-state area. Our grandmother made ice cream until she was 80, then finally passed the torch on to her daughter and two of her grandchildren: Kim Adkins, Tim Ruff and Taylor Strickland Chambers.
