Presented by Ohio Valley Bank: Join the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) for an engaging and informative Lunch & Learn session focused on digital accessibility. 

This presentation will begin with an overview of blindness etiquette, answering common questions such as: “What should you do if you see a blind person in public who may need help?” “What is the best way to engage with a blind person who enters your place of business?” 

Next, we’ll explore how individuals who are blind or have low vision navigate digital technology using screen readers and magnification software across platforms—including computers, mobile devices, smart TVs, and smartwatches. 

The session will include a live demonstration of a popular Windows-based screen reader, showing how it interacts with the web and why accessible websites matter for both users and businesses. 

We'll conclude with a brief overview of the new Title II regulations on digital accessibility and an introduction to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), the recognized standard for accessible digital products. This Lunch & Learn is ideal for business owners, HR professionals, marketers, and anyone interested in building a more inclusive and accessible digital presence.
